Choosing what to include in your emails can be challenging… Geez, another email, another day. Same old same old.
In a year, you would need 365 NEW ideas for what to write if you were to send one email a day. The majority of them will be offers, but what about the rest?
Here are some email writing samples ripe for the picking:
Messages your customers sent you.
Whether they’re emailing you, commenting on your blog or commenting on social media, it doesn’t matter. An email to your list could be excellent if the person asks you a question or comments on something you’ve said or done.
You get a complaint from a customer: George, your NEW product is too long. A 29-part video series? Thirteen PDFs? How is anyone going to have time for all that?
That is perfect! Simply copy and paste their comment right into your email, and then reply like this… Hey everyone, here is an email I got from Jack and also my reply. Let me know what you think:
Yes, Jack, it’s a long one. Do you have any college experience? For at least four years, you must endure grueling classes to earn a degree that may or may not even lead to a job working for someone else.
In my course, you will learn how to drive unlimited, highly targeted and highly profitable traffic to any offer you choose, anytime and anywhere. A skill like this will serve you for life, showing you exactly how to make money on demand.
That’s why the course is comprehensive. Basically because I cover everything you need to know. Typically, people will devour the course in three or four days, but even if you take a whole day to watch each 30-minute video, you will have all the skills and knowledge you need in just 30 days.
The other option is to go back to school and get a second degree, which may or may not even lead to a job. It’s your call.
I understand that the last part might have seemed a bit snippy, but you get the point.
I received an email from an actual customer saying that they never wanted to see another offer above $26 again. Really, you can’t make this stuff up!
My response was that maybe I care more about their dreams and aspirations than they do, that maybe I want their success more than they do, etc. The feedback on that one was also very positive.
I then received a complaint that I was marketing a course that taught the basics. This person basically tore me a new one, if you get my meaning. Then I removed her from my list and used her email to emphasize how important the basics actually are, no matter what the field is, be it basketball, space exploration, or online marketing. The response to that one was huge.
Also, I send out emails praising me and my products, but frankly they aren’t half as much fun. Nevertheless, they generate plenty of sales. Therefore, I continue to use them.
In case you run out of comments from your list members, customers, social media followers, etc., here are a few ideas:
1️⃣ There are some real gems to be found in Amazon product reviews. Start by finding products in your niche and reading the comments.
2️⃣ Browse Reddit and you’ll get all kinds of ideas. Try asking a question related to your niche and see what kind of response you get.
3️⃣ Like Reddit, Quora has fewer, longer answers. If people post questions in your niche, you can answer them directly to your subscribers instead of answering them on Quora. Plus, you can copy and paste the answer you sent to your subscribers onto Quora.
4️⃣ A news article that relates to your niche is called newsjacking, and it can be really effective. You should watch the news for items related to your niche and then write about your thoughts and opinions.
5️⃣ What made you laugh today? Was it your pets, your kids, or maybe your grandparents? Whether it’s your kid’s silly statement, your pet’s comical antics, or even your grandparents Internet inexperience, everything has an email to tell you.
